It's Never Too Late
Here's a quote from Henry Wadsworth Longfellow that is a reminder that you can do important things in the third stage of our lives.
It is too late! Ah, nothing is too late
Till the tired heart shall cease to palpitate…
Chaucer, at Woodstock with the nightingales,
At sixty wrote the Canterbury Tales;
Goethe at Weimar, toiling to the last,
Completed Faust when eighty years were past.
These are indeed exceptions, but they show
How far the gulf-stream of our youth may flow
Into the arctic regions of our lives.
Poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow,
“Morituri Salutamus,”
The Masque of Pandora
Doing something that has an impact in the world is possible even when you are beyond 55! It starts with, connecting to what is most important to you, your assets, strengths and values. From that, deciding what you must do, "till the tired heart shall cease to palpitate."
